Scene Around Town: DIFFA Dallas, Turtle Creek Association, and Goodwill Dallas
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s December 15 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from DIFFA Dallas who recently kicked off the holiday season with the 29th Annual DIFFA Dallas Holiday Wreath Collection event at The Empire Room to support its critical mission to combat HIV/AIDS. Also featured were scenes from the Turtle Creek Association (TCA)’s annual Gala which presented a renewed dialogue in celebration of the corridor and ongoing improvements. Funds raised will help the TCA preserve, protect and enhance the Turtle Creek corridor. Lastly, on top of turning 100 years old, Goodwill Dallas just broke a record for its largest annual event raising $1.68M for its mission to help individuals with barriers to traditional employment find long term stability at THE LUNCH event.
