Scene Around Town: Uplift Education, Dallas Casa, and Kat + Noelle

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s December 22 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from the grand opening of Kat + Noelle , a new fashion boutique owned by Shannon Jud located at 5710 W. Lovers Lane. Guests sipped sparkling libations and shopped the store's unique brands. Also featured are scenes from the Champion of Children Awards Dinner benefiting Dallas CASA, this event honored La La Land Kind Cafe founder, Francois Reihani for his vision and outstanding work with youth aging out of the foster care system. Lastly, we spotlighted images from the 4th Annual Dinner & Dialogue Event benefiting Uplift Education, the largest public school charter network in North Texas. The event raised $520,000 during its recent fundraiser and will support Uplift’s Road to College and Career program, supporting students currently through the college admissions process.
