Scene Around Town: Perot Museum, Ronald McDonald House, and The Aging Mind Foundation
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s December 8 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from The Perot Museum of Nature and Science’s annual fundraising gala, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, which raised $2M successfully launching the Museum into its next decade of education and inspiration! All proceeds enable the Museum to expand its reach by providing scholarships and financial assistance to schools and families.
Also featured were scenes from THE TRAINS AT NORTHPARK SPONSOR PARTY. Laura and Spencer Siino recently hosted sponsors of the 2023 Trains at NorthPark in their Highland Park to celebrate the launch of this year's event which benefits Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. Lastly, after a 20 year hiatus, THE BOWLING BALL returned and funds raised from the event will benefit The Aging Mind Foundation whose mission is to fund and advance scientific research focused on finding the causes of Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia.
