Scene Around Town: Planned Parenthood and Turtle Creek Association
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s February 7 issue, I’m featuring scenes from the Planned Parenthood who recently hosted its 34th Annual Dallas Awards at the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House honoring Cecile Richards, national leader for women’s rights and social and economic justice, and daughter of former Texas Governor Ann Richards. Also featured were scenes from Turtle Creek Association's Annual Gala, Celebrating Turtle Creek, which was recently held at the Virgin Hotel Dallas to support TCA’s mission to serve as the foremost guardian, advocate, and leader dedicated to preserving, protecting and enhancing the Turtle Creek corridor.
