Scene Around Town: Women's Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Grant Halliburton Foundation
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s September 6 issue, I was pleased to share highlights from a lovely luncheon hosted by Donna Arp Weitzman benefiting the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden’s board of directors at The Antique Table, Robin Jackson’s new café inside the Cottonwood Market. Also featured were scenes from a recent kickoff event at Simkhai in Highland Park Village where more than 60 guests gathered to learn more about the 15th annual Hope Party benefiting Grant Halliburton Foundation set for Friday, November 22. Guests sipped beverages and sampled small bites provided by Bistro 31, while they shopped at Simkhai, where 15% of sales were donated back to the nonprofit organization.
