Scene Around Town: Dallas Historical Society, Dallas Arboretum, and Dallas CASA
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s August 30 issue, I was pleased to share highlights from a soirée hosted by Becky Burgett in her home which was chaired by Tammany Stern where Martyn Lawrence Bullard and Stefani Bittner were recently announced as speakers for the upcoming 18th Annual A Writer’s Garden Symposium and Luncheon which will be held Wed, Nov. 13 at the Dallas Arboretum. Also featured were scenes from Dallas CASA who ended the 29th annual Parade of Playhouses with a grand finale "Closing Party" at NorthPark Center to celebrate the builders and architects who make this event possible. Lastly, Directors Inner Circle members of the Dallas Historical Society recently hosted a conversation with Pulitzer Prize Winner Lawrence Wright.
