Scene Around Town: DIFFA Dallas and Family Compass

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s July 19 issue, I was pleased to share highlights from DIFFA Dallas’ annual black-tie gala, the Louis L. Borick Foundation House of DIFFA: Royalty Untamed. More than 1,200 patrons attended an evening of fashion, musical performances and the opportunity to bid on the legendary luxury jacket auction. Also featured were scenes from a sold-out crowd of 300 who attended the sixth annual North Star Luncheon presented by The Rosewood Corporation. The luncheon, which featured award winning screenwriter and director Antwone Fisher, raised more than $153,000 benefiting Family Compass.
