Scene Around Town: Community Partners of Dallas, Dallas Zoo, and the Grant Halliburton Foundation
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s January 12 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from the 17th ANNUAL CHANGE IS GOOD event hosted by Community Partners of Dallas. This annual fundraiser where kids encourage kids to collect change in order to change the lives of abused children in Dallas County. Also featured were images from ZOO TO DO. This popular annual fundraiser raised over $1.4 million to benefit programs of the Dallas Zoo. Lastly, the Grant Halliburton Foundation held its Hope Party to raise funds for youth mental health and suicide prevention.
