Scene Around Town: Jewish Family Service and Junior League of Dallas
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s July 14 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from Jewish Family Service who brought Broadway to Dallas this past April with Broadway Legends Sandra Joseph and Ron Bohmer. The evening, titled Just for Show, featured the Broadway stars in a “A Look Behind the Curtain: Songs and Stories from Broadway” and raised critical funding to support Jewish Family Service programs and services. Also featured were scenes from Junior League of Dallas who recently hosted its annual Milestones Luncheon, presented by the Kohl Foundation, featuring award-winning actor and New York Times bestselling author Rob Lowe. During the luncheon, JLD honored Pam Busbee with the 2023 Sustainer of the Year award.
