Scene Around Town: Dallas Zoo and WiNGS
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s June 30 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from a recent garden party hosted by Gretchen and George Seay where a theme of "Adventure Awaits" was revealed for this year's Zoo To Do fundraiser. Benefitting the Dallas Zoo, the event will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2023 throughout the Giants of the Savanna habitat. Also featured are images from Pop! Fizz! Clink!, the Cinco de Mayo-inspired brunch told the story of the women of WiNGS, and raised funds to support WiNGS’ mission of empowering women, fighting poverty and impacting generations.
