Scene Around Town: Equest and Dallas Contemporary

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s April 25 issue, I’m featuring scenes from the Patron Party hosted by Teresa and Tom Fishman in advance of the 44th Annual Equest Blue Ribbon Gala, celebrating Equest’s four-decade legacy of enhancing the quality of life for children and adults with diverse needs through the human-horse connection. Also featured were highlights from Dallas Contemporary who recently hosted a dinner at Mirador to celebrate its latest exhibition "You Stretched Diagonally Across It: Contemporary Tapestry" curated by Su Wu. The sold-out evening, held in collaboration with Los Angeles-based Pace Gallery and Dallas Contemporary, supported the museum’s spring exhibition on display through October 12.
