Scene Around Town: Chi Omega Alumnae and Junior League of Dallas

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s October 25 issue, I was pleased to share highlights from the 47th Annual Chi Omega Christmas Market. The Dallas-area Chi Omega Alumnae group recently held the annual Chi Omega Christmas Market at Dallas Market Hall raising vital funds for 13 local nonprofit organizations. Also featured are scenes from the Junior League of Dallas and Texas Instruments who awarded 35 Dallas Independent School District educators with grants of up to $2,500 each through the annual Grants for Innovative Teaching program. Lastly, images from the 2025 Milestones Luncheon Kickoff Luncheon were highlighted. Lauren Combest and Debbie Oates were recently announced as the 2025 Milestones Luncheon Co-chairs set to take place on April 11, 2025 benefiting the Junior League of Dallas with Peggy Sewell honored as Sustainer of the Year.
