Scene Around Town: Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Cirque du Soleil
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s October 11 issue, I was pleased to share highlights from Cirque du Soleil who recently premiered Songblazers at The Music Hall at Fair Park in partnership with Broadway Dallas, marking the debut of Cirque du Soleil’s first-ever country music-themed show. The show will run through October 20. Also featured were scenes from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Symphony Gala where more than 420 distinguished guests gathered at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center for an unforgettable evening featuring world-renowned guest artist Lang Lang on piano alongside the DSO conducted by Music Director Fabio Luisi.
