Scene Around Town: DIFFA and FGI Dallas
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s June 2 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from DIFFA Dallas’ annual creative black-tie gala, House of DIFFA | The List where the fashion was on full display. Over 1,400 attendees were treated to an evening of fashion, a musical performance from Kristin Chenoweth, and the opportunity to bid on the legendary luxury jacket auction. Funds raised are granted to organizations that fight HIV/AIDS. Also featured were scenes from Fashion Group International of Dallas who celebrated the best in emerging, local talent in both fashion and its related industries, at its recent 27th annual Rising Star Awards celebration to recognize the outstanding talents and achievements of emerging designers, entrepreneurs and professionals in the following categories: Fashion Design, Accessories, Beauty, Retail, and Fashion Styling.
