Scene Around Town: Dallas 24 Hour Club, Girl Scouts and DSO League

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s August 26 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from a new program from Dallas 24 Hour Club, named after a key supporter Stuart Bright, who passed away in February of 2022. The Stuart Bright Life Skills Program: A Brighter Life! is designed to offer their residents, alumni, and members of the public the opportunity to build strong life skills through robust in-person and online classes so that they achieve sustained, stable and independent living post-Dallas 24 Hour Club. Also featured were scenes from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Debutantes demonstrated the traditional halftime divot stomp at the Honor Guard Polo Cup held at the Prestonwood Polo Club in Oak Point on June 25 and finally, images from the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Women of Distinction Host Committee who recently gathered at the home of Host Committee Co-Chair Carmen Yung. Along with Host Committee Co-Chair Peggy Meyer, Yung welcomed committee members, GSNETX Board members and GSNETX staff to kick off the celebration of the 2022 Women of Distinction Luncheon, presented by AT&T scheduled for October 28 at the Omni.
