Scene Around Town: A WiNGS Fling, Christ's Family Clinic and Clayton Dabney for Kids with Cancer

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s May 6 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from Pop Fizz Clink! A WiNGS Fling. Presented by Ebby Halliday Foundation, this champagne-inspired brunch benefited WiNGS programs that support women in the midst of change by providing the lift needed to carry them successfully into the next phase of their lives. Also shown are images from The Art of Caring for Others. The evening featured speaker Richard Fisher and an award presentation to Dr. Michael Harris. Proceeds will support Christ’s Family Clinic to provide high-quality health care to the uninsured. Lastly, I spotlighted scenes from the 6th Annual Love Luncheon: Heart of Gold.
Luncheon co-chairs Amy McEvoy and Traci White hosted a sold-out event raising a record amount of more than $300,000 to support Clayton Dabney for Kids with Cancer which provides anonymous financial assistance to families in need who have a child in the final stages of terminal cancer.
