Scene Around Town: Mad Hatter's reveals all and Dallas Casa rolls the dice
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s March 18 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Reveal Party hosted by Stanley Korshak this past September celebrating the event’s 34th year benefiting the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden and A Woman’s Garden. Lisa Loy Laughlin, president of the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden announced Claire Catrino as the events Chair and Laurie Sands Harrison as the Honorary Chair. This year’s event will be held on April 20 with a theme being “DALLAS”.
Also featured were scenes from Dallas CASA Young Professionals’ CASAblanca party. The roaring ‘20s-themed event was a fundraiser for the children served by Dallas CASA, who have experienced abuse or neglect and been placed in the protective care of the state.Dallas CASA’s trained volunteers advocate for these children in court.
