Scene Around Town: Hope's Door New Beginning Center and The Family Place
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s October 7 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from Hope's Door New Beginning Center who hosted their 7th annual Tapestry Of Hope fashion show and luncheon produced by RSC Show Productions. Attendees shopped pop-up booths from local vendors and enjoyed a fashion show featuring Fall fashions from luxury retailers at Highland Park Village. Also featured were scenes from The Family Place’s annual Texas Trailblazer Awards Luncheon which honored Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson and featured award-nominated actress Christina Ricci as the keynote speaker. Funds raised support The Family Place mission to break down barriers to ensure brighter futures for survivors of family violence.
