Scene Around Town, Katy Trail Weekly (August 27, 2021)

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s August 27-Sept. 2 issue, I was pleased to spotlight A Writer’s Garden Literary Symposium and Luncheon Everything’s Coming Up Roses announcement party hosted by Donna and Herb Weitzman benefiting A Woman’s Garden and the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden where Sandy Ammons, Symposium and Luncheon Chair, announced the event is happening on Tuesday, November 16 at Rosine Hall at the Dallas Arboretum. Symposium and Luncheon tickets begin at $250 per person. Patron Tickets are available starting at $500 per person. Underwriting and sponsorships available at various levels and benefits. It was a busy month for The Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden who also hosted A Royal Finale: Annual Meeting and Luncheon where Mary Brinegar, President and CEO of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Society, was honored with the 2021 Founders Award Recipient.
