The Charlotte American Bistro Launches Weekend Brunch

The Charlotte American Bistro just announced the launch of Weekend Brunch, a new, neighborhood-driven dining experience that delivers both soul and comfort food with an effortless style into every plate. Available Saturdays and Sundays from 11AM to 4 PM, the menu invites brunch lovers and Henderson locals to indulge in flavor forward bites and laid back vibes in the heart of Dallas.

Curated by Culinary Director Chef Wyl Lima, the brunch menu brings a creative twist to classic favorites, blending Southern comfort with playful innovation. The lineup strikes a balance between the nostalgic and the unexpected, offering something for everyone, from sweet throwbacks to hearty, soulful plates. Staying true to their roots while embracing global influence, Chef Wyl and his team draw from shared histories of past kitchens and family tables to craft a menu that feels both intentional and inviting, like a weekend meal made from the heart.

Highlights from the new brunch menu include Cinnamon Roll Pancakes topped with whipped mascarpone and sprinkled with cinnamon; a Breakfast Benedict stacked on a toasted English muffin with poached egg, a rich brown butter hollandaise, and is available with the choice of crab cake, smoked salmon, bacon. For sweet cravings, guests can enjoy the French Toast Bites served with maple syrup and jam; while the Chilaquiles, layered with salsa verde, eggs, queso fresco, bring the heat.

The Avocado Toast gets an upgrade with avocado spread and everything bagel seasoning on toasted sourdough. The Breakfast Sandwich is a hearty favorite, featuring a croissant with beef breakfast sausage, crispy bacon, egg, American cheese, and Cajun remoulade. Guests can also enjoy signature savory items, including the Shrimp & Grits and  a fan favorite from the all day menu, the Spicy Lamb Chops.

And then there's the Cereal Bowl, a cheeky nod to Saturday morning cartoons and kitchen table nostalgia. Guests can pick from their childhood favorites: Trix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Honey Nut Cheerios, Fruity Pebbles, or Teddy Grahams, because even adults can have cereal for brunch.

“Brunch is such a natural fit for The Charlotte,” says Culinary Director, Chef Wyl Lima. “We already have a great crowd during brunch hours, so we wanted to give guests something they couldn’t get on the all-day menu. The goal was to create a menu that’s fun, craveable, and still reflects the same attention to detail and quality we bring to lunch and dinner.”

He adds, “Brunch gives us a chance to connect with our neighbors in a new way, while providing something that feels familiar, but worth coming back for weekend after weekend.”

To round out the experience, The Charlotte will feature its signature drink menu, including the Espresso Martini, Peach Bellini, and Hugo Spritz. Brunch-goers can also sip on a classic Ranch Water, a bubbly Kir Royale, or the Carajillo, the perfect pairings for a laid-back, flavor-filled weekend.
