Scene Around Town: Bryan’s House and Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s September 15 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from Bryan’s House was the recent beneficiary of an intimate evening with friends and supporters as Abraham Salum, owner and executive chef of Salum Restaurant, recently celebrated his restaurant's reopening with A Night of Hope Dinner. The sold-out celebration was part of the Bryan’s House 2023 Power of You Awards Luncheon events and raised net proceeds of $50,000.

Also featured were scenes from an announcement soirée hosted by Wendy Hansen, it was announced that Kate Markert, executive director of the Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens and Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, international designers based in London, will be featured speakers at the 17th Annual A Writer’s Garden Symposium and Luncheon benefiting the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden.
