Scene Around Town: Broadway Dallas and Dallas Arboretum

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s April 28 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from Broadway Dallas’ 2023 Gala featuring a full performance of MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL. On Saturday, April 1, lovers of the arts gathered to celebrate the magic of musical theater at raising $870,000 in support of Broadway Dallas’ nonprofit’s mission to spread the gift of Broadway to more than 40,000 students and their families. Also featured were highlights from the sixth annual Food & Wine Festival at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Held on March 23. during the height of Dallas Blooms, more than 1,700 people attended this annual soiree. Guests enjoyed libations and delectable delights while strolling the garden on a perfect spring evening.
