Scene Around Town: Frontiers of Flight Museum, DIFFA Dallas, and the Christopher Barkley Foundation
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s December 1 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from the recent Frontiers of Flight Museum's NEW FRONTIERS GALA where Dr. Sian Proctor, the first black woman astronaut to pilot a spacecraft, was the featured speaker. Also featured were scenes from the 14TH ANNUAL BURGERS + BURGUNDY benefiting DIFFA Dallas where celebrity Chefs brought together passionate foodies, philanthropists, and advocates, and the 2ND ANNUAL MONTE CARLO CASINO NIGHT where the Christopher Barkley Foundation recently celebrated at On The Levee raising funds to support those grappling with mental health challenges and to champion suicide prevention.
