Scene Around Town: DIFFA Dallas and CC Young Senior Living
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s September 9 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from CC Young Senior Living who recently hosted a dedication ceremony and reception to unveil the Aver-Phillips Art Gallery, located in The Vista on the CC Young campus. The “Young at HeART” celebration honored Denise Aver-Phillips, former CC Young Vice President of Community Outreach, and her husband, Steve Phillips. Also featured were scenes from DIFFA/Dallas who recently celebrated a record-breaking season by hosting an event at Samuel Lynne Galleries, where funds raised from the 2021-2022 season were granted to twenty-four deserving North Texas HIV/AIDS Service Organizations.
