Scene Around Town: Operation Kindness and CC Young

As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s February 18 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from Operation Kindness who recently hosted its 29th annual Canines, Cats & Cabernet fundraiser which included dinner, dancing, live music and auctions with proceeds benefiting the shelter’s mission to provide lifesaving care to homeless pets in North Texas. Also featured were scenes from CC Young’s annual Wrap It Up Luncheon, benefiting its Benevolence Fund, held this past November, at the Northwood Club featuring a day of holiday shopping, fashion presentation and luncheon.

I encourage you to pick up the latest issue of the Katy Trail Weekly complete with community news, articles by local experts, event and restaurant info, puzzles, and more for FREE each week! Where? Katy Trail Weekly proudly serves these Dallas neighborhoods: Uptown, Arts District, Highland Park, Preston Hollow, Downtown, University Park, West Village, Preston Center, Oak Lawn, Knox-Henderson, Love Field, Medical District, and more!
