Scene Around Town: Chefs For Farmers, Recovery Resource Council, and Dallas 24 Hour Club
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s November 18 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from Chefs For Farmers Main Event where 3,000 food fanatics came together to celebrate the food and wine festival's 11th year, with this year’s event benefiting the Seed Project Foundation’s McKinney Roots. The 2022 Golf Classic benefiting Recovery Resource Council took place at Cowboys Golf Club. Funds will fund psychotherapy, housing, and addiction treatment services for Veterans and their families. Lastly, Dallas’ top Chefs participated in the Dallas All Star Chef Classic presented by Ben E. Keith benefiting Dallas 24 Hour Club. The event broke a record for fundraising, bringing in over $750,000 for the nonprofit.
