Scene Around Town: Dallas Zoo and Clayton Dabney for Kids with Cancer
As Society Editor for the Katy Trail Weekly I oversee the publication's Scene Around Town feature, which shines a spotlight on nonprofit and community events each week. In this week’s December 17 issue, I was pleased to spotlight photos featuring highlights from the Dallas Zoo’s “Return To The Wild” event which raised over $1 million dollars! Proceeds from the event help support the Dallas Zoo’s dedication to providing the best animal care, deliver unique education offerings, and strengthen its wildlife conservation efforts. Also featured were scenes from the 26th Annual Clayton Dabney Golf Tournament. Each year, golfers gather to support for Clayton Dabney for Kids with Cancer, which provides needy families, with children in the last stages of terminal cancer, assistance in creating everlasting memories by providing last wishes, gifts, special events, family travel and financial assistance with household expenses.
You can grab the latest issue of the Katy Trail Weekly complete with community news, articles by local experts, event and restaurant info, and more for FREE each week! Where?
