Park Cities Lifestyle Magazine (November 2021)
Park Cities Lifestyle is the destination for local living— a one-stop-shop for hyper local, expertly created content for you that inspires and connects communities. This monthly magazine serves the Park Cities community and seeks to inspire, instruct and uplift readers through entertaining articles, detailed and searchable listings of local restaurants and businesses, and by sharing unique experiences and events in and around your town. As Society Editor for this publication, I am happy to shine a light on the good works happening in the Highland Park and University Park neighborhoods.
In the November issue, you will find a recap of the Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer (WOKC). Founder Cindy Brinker Simmons hosted a tea in her lovely North Dallas home to announce Connie Yates, as chair of the 2022 WOKC Guild. She also honored the WOKC Guild and gave insight into her founding WOKC, the future of the Guild and the opportunity to help with Warrior Baskets (Warriors are children with cancer) as gifts to these very special children. Also featured was the 24th annual Pot of Gold Luncheon benefiting Rainbow Days. On this festive Friday afternoon, around 500 supporters and guests gathered to raise a grand total of $232,185 for Rainbow Days through sponsorships, auction bidding, donations, individual seats and virtual livestream ticket sales.
In Around Town’s calendar of upcoming events. I was happy to highlight the Golf Classic event benefiting Recovery Resource Council on November 3, World Food Championships happening Nov. 5-7 at Fair Park, Zoo To Do for November 6 which will raise over 1 million dollars to help further conservation efforts of the Dallas Zoo, and the Dallas Summer Musicals’ upcoming Gala featuring Hamilton on November 20.
Lastly, Gangway client FireBird Fowl shared pro tips with readers to make the perfect Thanksgiving turkey. There is a lot to enjoy in the November issue. I hope you will click through to read the magazine in its entirety.
