Sip, Shop and Socialize: A Weekend in New Orleans
I love it when I can combine work with pleasure. This past week, I put together a pop-up shopping event for one of Gangway’s clients, Kathy Fielder Boutique in New Orleans. We flew in Thursday morning and all met up at New Orleans newest hot spot, The Chloe for lunch. That afternoon, Kathy Fielder hosted shoppers and invited guests to "sip, shop & socialize" and meet the most talked about Housewife this year - Real Housewives of Dallas star, Tiffany Moon, M.D. In addition to shopping the latest in Spring fashions from Kathy Fielder Boutique, guests were able to shop Moon’s Aroma-sthesia candle line and have Tiffany sign their candle box making it a unique and personalized gift. Southern Charm New Orleans star Reagan Charleston Thomas was also on hand showing select designs from her amazing Reagan Charleston jewelry line just for the occasion. See what I did there… I mean, who doesn’t love a Bravo TV crossover!? Next time you are in New Orleans, check out Kathy Fielder Boutique, which is located at 3649 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA. 70115. After a successful event, we all headed down to the French Quarter and had a great dinner at Justine. Kudos to Reagan who is 5-mos pregnant but hung with us like a champ. My husband and I stayed for the weekend. We’ve been going to New Orleans for 25 years, so we always try to mix our trips with classic favorites that we know and love and new places. We stayed at one of our favorite hotels, The Hotel Monteleone, which is famous for their Carousel Bar. Yes, there is an actual carousel that you can sit on that rotates inside the hotel! We dined at Justine’s, Clancy’s, Cavan, and Coquette. Spent one afternoon browsing art galleries on Julia Street and another day shopping on Magazine Street. But the best part of my weekend was getting to connect with Susan Whelan, aka NolaMaven. I love following Susan on Instagram because she takes Followers on her walks all over New Orleans and really shows you the local flavor. We have followed each other for several years, but until this weekend, had never met in person. It was so awesome to connect offline and spend a morning with her walking around the Garden District. New Orleans is one of my favorite places to visit because there is so much to do there, the food is amazing and there are wonderful sights, sounds and places to discover around every corner.
