Welcome to The Dallas Download—your weekly dose of what’s happening around town. Launching June 11, menu additions at Mirador will include Whipped Ricotta (with charred english peas, meyer lemon, basil, and toasted sourdough), Seasonal Crudo (composed of aji amarillo, citrus, pineapple), and Heirloom Tomato Salad (with whipped feta, garden chimichurri, and fried bread). Keep from being too healthy and indulge in the newly-added Chocolate Donut, dusted with gold flakes and maldon salt, or the outrageous Foie-fflle, a buttermilk waffle spread with duck confit.

ALSO… 🛍️ The refined rooftop restaurant atop Forty Five Ten, now brings its elevated lunch experience to street level with the launch of Mirador Curbside. Available Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the new curbside service offers a high-end alternative to fast food—perfect for downtown professionals looking for a more thoughtful midday meal on-the go. Ordering will be available Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. via Toast, with pick-up located in Mirador located on the Penthouse Level of Forty Five Ten. If driving in, just let the valet know you’re here to pick up to-go and they’ll keep your car up front; Check in at the host stand to pick up your order. At Tango Room, dishes balance lightness and decadence and highlight seasonal produce: new to the menu are the Scallop & Foie Gras, Pistachio-Crusted Halibut, Baby Beet Salad, Rabbit Tagliatelle, Roast Chicken with Spring Vegetables, Lobster Mac, and Morel Mushrooms & Spring Peas, among others. CELEBRATE THE ARTS

Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Spirit Is Ageless 2025 Art & Writing Contest returns to CC Young Senior Living, inviting adults 55+ across the Dallas-Fort Worth area to showcase their creativity and submit original art and writing creations. Online registration begins Friday, Aug. 1. Since its launch in 1999, this beloved competition has become a cultural touchstone, shining a spotlight on the powerful, often untold stories and talents that flourish later in life, reminding us that creativity knows no age limits.

Once the winners have been selected, the 2025 Spirit is Ageless Winners’ Reception will take place on Friday, October 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Point. The event will feature keynote speaker Dr. Alise Cortez, Chief Ignition Officer at Gusto, Now!, an organizational psychologist, logo therapist, and author of five books. Dr. Cortez also hosts the “Working on Purpose” podcast. She is dedicated to awakening people and organizations to their passion and purpose, inspiring them to make a contribution worthy of their one precious life.

🩰 Ballet Ensemble of Texas (BET), one of Dallas’ best-reviewed pre-professional ballet companies, will be celebrating their 25TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON this upcoming year! The main stage performances will include productions of DRACULA - Ballet with a BiteTHE NUTCRACKER, and CINDERELLA.
