Knees up! Harwood Arms Pub Opens In Dallas

Harwood Hospitality Group’s latest creation, Harwood Arms , transports guests to a world inspired by the British Isles where pubs reign supreme. The term “pub” is a short way of saying public house. The term originated in the 16th Century meaning “any building open to the public”. Usually, the term was applied only to buildings that served ale, wine, other spirits, and food. Tucked away in the Harwood District on La Rue Perdue at 2850 N. Harwood St., the concept features a regionally inspired menu of pub fare paired with clever cocktails and a broad whiskey list including a private select blend made exclusively for the brand.  The 4,000-square-foot pub features socially distanced seating indoors with partitioned wood booths and expanded outdoor patio seating. Inside the wood-filled pub are six TVs and a pair of dart boards, lending Harwood Arms to be a place for intimate gatherings in the Harwood District where there is a strong sense of community and camaraderie.

“The intention was to create a spot where everyone will know your name,” says Alexie Estrada, curator of brand experience for parent company Harwood International. “One could say it’s our version of ‘Cheers.’ We see colleagues, friends, and sports fans alike gathering around the bar to share thoughts, ideas, visions, and to even cheer and banter over a good game airing on TV. All in all, guests can expect a warm welcome, a cold pint or a whiskey served neat, and fresh food-forward culinary offerings here.”

Harwood Arms delivers a food and beverage program served late with an international-meets-local approach. The menu carries a thematic focus on the British Isles and a mindful approach to source the highest quality ingredients. Enjoy familiar Irish and English dishes on the menu as well as modern-day offerings using flavors inspired by the region’s most prominent culinary influences. My personal recommendations include the Ruben Fries, Codfellow’s Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Bangers & Mash, and the Whiskey Toffee Cake! Menu highlights also include appetizers such as Beer & Cheddar Soup, Loaded Potato Skins, and Roasted Bone Marrow with the option to add a shot of Harwood Arms Private Select Whiskey to entrées, including Fish & Chips, London Broil, Reuben Sandwich, an entrée-sized Cara Cara Orange Salad, and more.

As for the bar program, Harwood Arms presents a small menu of craft cocktails; more than 50 domestics, imported, and craft beers and ciders; a broad list of scotch; and, over 40 whiskeys ranging from Irish to Japanese selections. Guests will be able to order the signature Harwood Arms Private Select Old Fashioned that showcases an exclusive, one-of-a-kind whiskey made in partnership with Maker’s Mark.

Harwood Arms is open for dinner, drinks, and late-night seven days a week with brunch offered on weekends. Located at 2850 N. Harwood St, Suite 100, Harwood District, Dallas, Texas 75201, (214) 273-5151
